Sustainable Solutions for a Brighter Future

Our primary focus is on promoting sustainability both within our own operations and for our customers.

To date, we have helped achieve a 24% reduction in Bunzl's carbon footprint relative to revenue between 2020 and 2024. Demonstrating our commitment, Bunzl has also joined the "Race to Zero" campaign, which targets a 50% reduction in global emissions by 2030.

We actively partner with our customers to identify and implement sustainable practices that drive positive change in their operations. By utilising the latest advancements in technical product offerings, we are dedicated to making a meaningful impact on society and working toward a greener future. Our key strategies include reducing carbon footprints and eliminating unnecessary packaging, guided by our core principles.

1

Reduce

packaging, deliveries, and movements to minimise environmental impact.

2

Replace

conventional practices with eco-friendly solutions, such as using generic brands and downsized packaging materials.

3

Reward

our initiatives by saving time, conserving resources, and reducing waste.

Building a more sustainable, environmentally conscious world for tomorrow

Delivering value to our customers

Promote the Adoption of Eco-Friendly Products

We actively encourage our customers to choose more sustainable solutions whenever possible. By switching to FIBC Bulk Bags, many of our customers have found a reliable, reusable, and recyclable option for storing their products. Not only are these bulk bags environmentally friendly, but they also offer significant savings - customers have seen up to a 60% reduction in unit costs by making the switch.

Anti-Slip Sheets v Corrugated Layer Pads

We’re committed to helping our customers lower their carbon footprint and minimise packaging waste. One of our latest recommendations is transitioning from Corrugated Layer Pads to Anti-Slip Sheets. These sheets offer superior stability, are highly water-resistant, and 100% recyclable. By making the switch, customers can significantly cut down on packaging - one pallet of Anti-Slip Sheets contains 4,000 pieces, compared to just 550 pieces in a pallet of Corrugated Layer Pads.

Supporting Customers in Achieving Their Sustainability Goals

We have developed proprietary material footprint reports that provide customers with the information they need to report progress against their packaging commitments accurately. Using these tools to work closely with our customers gives us a great opportunity to demonstrate the alternative solutions we can offer that would help them meet their recyclability targets or the requirements of new legislation.

Join us on the road to greener solutions.
